Northwestern Emergency Vehicles, Inc. was founded in 1990 by Richard Hamby and Darrell Poe. Richard who serves as President, brought with him years of ambulance sales experience and dedication to customer service. Darrell, who serves as Vice President, added his extensive experience and ability in technical service of emergency vehicles to the formation of the company. This combination has produced unparalleled sales results during the course of the existence of the company. For more than 15 years, Northwestern has sold over 100 emergency vehicles per year and has been awarded the Dealership of the Year recognition each year it's been in existence.

Northwestern is the proud dealer for American Emergency Vehicles (AEV) in Jefferson, North Carolina. AEV is one of the largest manufacturers of ambulances in the world and the wide market base they serve proves their reputation for quality. In addition to that fact, AEV is North Carolina's only ambulance manufacturer and contributes tremendously to the local economy. Along with the AEV line, Northwestern compliments it's vehicle line with the Horton Emergency Vehicle. Horton, located in Ohio, is considered the premier emergency vehicle within the industry and is a sister company of American Emergency Vehicles.

In addition to both Richard and Darrell, the company is supported by some of the best Emergency Vehicle Technicians the industry has to offer. Northwestern offers a 26,000 square foot remount and service facility. We have a full-time remount facility and perform each remount entirely within this facility.

Northwestern Emergency Vehicles has two locations to suit your needs. The main office and service facility is in West Jefferson, North Carolina. The Virginia office is located in Independence, Virginia.
